You should look into the wallet and look for any cards or documents that can give you a name of the owner. If you find something that could you help knowing the owner I would bring the wallet to the police office so they could give to the owner. But if you dont find anything that identify that person what I would if I were you is get the money and cut the credit cards.
From my point of view you have to decide between two choice, like a good citizen go to police and gave all the money with the credit cards, or gave only credit cards because if you find the wallet the money is your you. Good luck with you decision.
