Ask him to show you the videogame he is playing. Who knows, maybe you and the rest of your friends could find another plan for Fridays, although you must tell him to go outside more often and to be more sociable
Your only option is speak with him or her and discover if your friend it´s okey or not , maybe he/se is sad and that´s why he/she want to stay at home on fridays , but you should convince that we are young and these days just live one time in our lives we have to leverage the sunny days as the rainny days , and live each day of entire life , the life it´s soy beautiful to shut yourself in your room. In my opinion, tried to convince your friend for go out with you and your friends no all days only a few, but if he prefer stay in home and play video games always you can buy a pc and play with him, maybe you can be a famous youtuber give thanks to your friends.

I try to convince him that it is Friday, after high school and that it is better to go out with friends and take off, as he will have all weekend to play with the computer. I try to encourage him by telling him the things we are going to do and So encourage it.
